Back to Basics – ADYN, Supreme, ASOS & more

Well, that was a great summer wasn’t it…

Don’t worry though, it’s not all doom and gloom around here. The cooler weather means we get to wear and more importantly buy more clothes, am I right? As much as I love the Summer, I do like the colder, darker days and the need to wrap up warm. It’s always good to bring out your favourite Autumn pieces again in place of your shorts and t-shirts, without the fear of being a sweaty mess.

A good selection of basics in your wardrobe will see you through the changing seasons, leaving you extra money to spend on those key trends. When it comes to basics, you can pick up some fairly priced items if you know where to look. I have put two looks together using items I have picked up from various places that won’t break the bank.

This look is made up using a Olive coloured pullover hoody from Fruit of the Loom. I picked this up from eBay at under £10 in a size medium. Next up is the ADYN x Harvey Nichols Essential Long Sleeve Tee. At £70 this is more pricey but where you save on one thing you can spend on another. This long sleeved tee is great and can be worn a number of ways. The super long sleeves and elongated hem, look great when worn as a base under a jacket or sweater. The sleeves also feature thumb holes, which add an extra bit of detail if you choose to wear it like that. Ripped denim is everywhere at the moment. These jeans are the Skinny Jeans with Extreme Rips from ASOS. At £30 they won’t break the bank and even if they only last you through the winter you can always make them into shorts come summer! Finally, I’m wearing a pair of Adidas Stan Smiths in the classic white/green colour to finish off.

This second look combines some Supreme basics I have recently picked up. First up, I’m wearing a Supreme/Hanes Tagless Tee. These t-shirts come as a pack of 3 at £25 and have been my go to white shirt for a long time now. Whilst they aren’t the best quality t-shirt they are extremely comfortable and I really like how they fit. The t-shirts feature a small supreme logo just above them hem which is a nice little touch to a otherwise plain shirt. You can’t really go wrong with what you wear a white tee with, but here I’m wearing a distressed All Saints denim shirt from spring. On the lower half I’m wearing some Skinny Stretch Jeans from Topman, which again are really comfortable (I’m all about comfort!). Also, not pictured, I’m wearing a pair of the all cotton Supreme/Hanes Boxer Briefs. These come as a 4 Pack for £32 and sit perfectly just above the waistline of a pair of jeans.

What do you think of these simple looks that won’t break the bank?
