Summer Essentials

We may only just be having our first taste of summer here in the UK, but with more good weather in store it’s time to get those essential items in check. Here I share with you my summer essentials.

So first up, If you’re planning on going away this summer, it’s a must that your passport is kept safe. I keep mine safely inside my Mulberry Passport Cover. The cover itself is more of a travel wallet in reality, containing a zip to the back for any loose change and multiple pockets inside for all your tickets and boarding passes.

If you’re looking for some travel inspiration, the new Kinfolk Magazine is there Travel Issue which i’d recommend picking up a copy.

Speaking of travels, if you have a trip in the near future it’s always handy to invest in some travel sized toiletries to reduce the amount of space they take up in your luggage. My personal recommendation would be the Aésop Boston Travel Kit as it has literally everything you need in there – you can see what it contains in this earlier post. However this kit has been away with me a few times now so certain bits need replacing. Rather than refilling the bottles I decided to buy the Aesop Jet Set Kit from Mankind to restock some of the essentials. Another recent grooming purchase comes in the form of this Bronzing Gel for Men from Tom Ford which is perfect if you’re looking for that healthy post holiday glow and keep you looking your best all summer long.

In terms of essential items in my wardrobe, I like to keep it simple. Nothing screams summer more to me than a fresh white t-shirt and a pair of  Ray-Ban Sunglasses (similar).

If you’re going for a more premium look, I would suggest stocking a couple of the Comme des Garçons simple ‘Heart Logo’ shirts in your wardrobe, as these do just the trick. Paired with a decent pair of trainers (Y-3 Ultra Boost) and a spray of Gypsy Water, I’d say you’re now set for summer..
