L’Oreal Men Expert Tattooed Skin Reviver Review

Whilst we’re talking tattoos; before I went away the lovely people at L’Oréal Men Expert sent me the new Tattooed Skin Reviver Moisturising Body Lotion* to try. Unfortunately due to how busy I was I never really got chance to use it until I came back – which was just as well as I had a new tattoo during my travels.

When tattooed skin becomes dry and dehydrated it is visible to the eye. Tattoos look dull and lifeless and when you’ve spent so much money on something, you want it to look its best.

When I saw that L’Oréal Men Expert were releasing a new moisturiser for tattooed skin I was immediately interested. Not only am I already a huge fan of the brand having used many of their products over the years, but it’s good to see such a big brand evolving with the male grooming market by understanding consumer demands and releasing something a little bit different.

After two weeks of island hopping, my skin was crying out for moisture. The combination of sun exposure, salt water and sun burn had left my skin in need of some TLC. One of the first things I turned to on my return was the Tattooed Skin Reviver.

Although created especially for tattooed skin, this daily moisturising body lotion is fast absorbing, non greasy and leaves no residue behind making it suitable to use on your whole body (which I did). Not only does this product do what it says on the label, it also smells good.

So how does it work? The magic ingredient here is Creatine. Creatine is naturally found in the body where it is produced in the liver, kidneys and pancreas and provides cells all over the body with energy. Creatine can also found in your skin where it stores natural energy and maintains correct function of your cells. By adding creating to the Tattooed Skin Reviver it is able to provide energy on demand; reviving colour contrast and making your tattoos look healthier and brighter.

The 24H hydration formula leaves your skin feeling super smooth and moisturised all day which in turn means your ink will continue to look as fresh as the day you had it, well almost.

Would I recommend it? Yes. I have used this product a number of times now and can still see the effects it has. I wouldn’t say it’s a permanent fix but its there for when you need it.

Along with the Tattoo Reviver, I also received the new Anti-Fatigue Moisturiser* and Citrus Wood Shower* Gel to try out. Despite not trying the Moisturiser yet, I have used similar products in the Men Expert range which have always been good so I know that no doubt this will follow suit.

The Citrus Wood Shower gel is huge and is definitely a product where you get your moneys worth. This is the first shower gel from Men Expert that is enriched with Citrus and is specially formulated to eliminate impurities such as sweat.  The fresh citrus woody fragrance leaves you feeling really clean and refreshed and because it is suitable for hair, body and face it would make a great addition to your gym bag for all your post-workout needs.
