Ultimate Wishlist

If you are anything like me then I’m sure you have been counting down to payday for the last week or two as well. Although I’m pretty good with money, by the time payday arrives, I already have my budget planned for the month ahead and know how much I have left to play with and… It’s okay to treat yourself every now and again!

Right now I’m starting to look for pieces to see me through the upcoming months and in to summer. In particular I’m looking at t-shirts and a pair of shorts or two as I have a trip away next month. I’ve just put a order in for ASOS for a couple of bits- I love this Nirvana band shirt. However, If I’m looking for items to last beyond a couple of months, I don’t mind paying more for good quality pieces.

So, as always, I have put together another unrealistic wishlist of things I would love to add to my wardrobe. The chances of it becoming reality are slim but a boy can dream! It’s always good to have things to work towards and coincidently, it’s also my Birthday next month too…

I think I’ve found some great pieces in the selection above. I have had my eyes on the Gucci  Washed T-shirt with Gucci print and Valentino Camouflage Slide Sandal for some time now. You can find all the links below if you happen to find something you like also.

Ultimate Christmas Wishlist

With Christmas just over a week away I thought I would join in and share with you my Ultimate Christmas Wishlist. This year is the first year I haven’t asked for a single thing off anyone, but that doesn’t stop me looking right? So if British Pounds were no object, what would be at the top of my list?

The Comme des Garçons Play line has been a firm favourite of mine for a while now so I would love to add a black shirt to my line up along with this sweater. I really like how the logo is blacked out on the shirt, which makes it quite subtle. The hoody is in a classic grey colour way, and can be worn with pretty much anything. Staying with clothes I love this A.P.C Oh L’Amour shirt. I actually ordered it on Black Friday along with my other purchases, but ended up sending it back, not being able to justify £65 on a t-shirt going into December! I picked up a load of A.P.C from END in the Boxing Day sales last year so have everything crossed this will still be around then. The final shirt is the Saint Laurent Blood Luster tee with the black fang design. I think this would look great paired with some torn blue jeans and the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 Lo also on the list.

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you will know by now I’m a bit of a sneaker hoarder, so I couldn’t let a wishlist pass without a few pairs included. As mentioned I’m a huge fan of the 70’s Converse; I love the vintage look of them and the build quality is superior to your regular Chuck Taylor’s – a timeless classic for everyones collection. Next up, I have included a pair of my favourite Yeezy Boosts from Adidas. The first two releases from the Yeezy Boost line will always be my favourites. Over the Turtle Doves I would go for the Pirate Black variation as I think they could be worn with more outfits and I am also less likely to ruin them! The chances of ever owning a pair is unlikely, but a boy can dream! The final pair, is the Original Achilles Low from Common Projects. These have featured in many of my wishlists, I’m actually quite surprised I haven’t got a pair yet. Maybe it’s something to do with the price? Whatever it is,  hopefully they’ll be in my collection in the New Year.

On to entertainment and technology, my iPhone6S is starting to fail so I could do with an upgrade to the new iPhone7 Plus. I really like the new matte black colour option so would definitely go for that when I get around to ordering a new one. Another Apple product on my Wishlist is the new Apple Watch and in particular the Space Grey Aluminium Case with Black Woven Nylon StrapI like the idea of the watch however I’m not 100% convinced of how much I would use this yet or how it would fit into my everyday life but I’m sure I could adapt easily if I opened one on December 25th! I’ve also included a selection of vinyls for my ever-increasing collection.

The final two items on my Ultimate Christmas Wishlist come from Louis Vuitton and Maison Margiela. Firstly, how nice is this bag? When LV first revealed the Monogram Eclipse Collection I was obsessed. After always wanting a LV holdall, when I saw this bag in the collection I knew one day I have to have it. The Keepall Voyager combines the classic sophistication and look of a classic LV holdall with a modern sporty twist, thanks to the leather bands along the body and textile straps. As my holdall has just broken, this would be a more than welcome replacement! Last but not least, I had to include Jazz Club Eau de Toilette by Maison Margiela.

Wishlist 8 – Add some Spring to your wardrobe.

Screen Shot 2016-04-20 at 10.16.08.png

MHL. by Margaret Howell Basic Tee in mint (£65) // Vans Vault OG Authentic LX in classic white/safari (£55) // Our Legacy Bolly Tee in pink (£85) // Topman Stretch Skinny Jeans in washed blue (£30) // A.P.C Novak Crew Sweat in grey marl (£119) // Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Hi II in white (£60) // Common Projects Chelsea Boot in tan (£315)

Spring is here and theres not a sign of black in sight. I know I’m kinda shocked myself, the colour black feels comfortable, it’s safe and you can’t really go wrong with it. For SS16, the monochromatic uniform of last summer has been long forgotten; replaced with a hue of pastel shades.

Taking style tips from the scandinavians, I have curated my current favourites for this post; to show you what I’ll be taking inspiration from in the upcoming months. Whether worn together or mixed with existing items in your wardrobe, this set of classic Spring items would make great additions to anyones wardrobe. So let’s get started..

First up are these simple tees from MHL. and Our legacy in mint and pink. I don’t think I have ever worn anything in either of these colours before, I’m not even sure if I could pull off a pink shirt but these shades are fairly washed out and not garish in anyway, so who knows. Even if it’s just for a hint of colour under the A.P.C Novak sweater, these tees are certain to brighten up your wardrobe.

Next up are the light wash jeans from Topman. I’m not opposed to blue jeans, my blue Nudie jeans are the comfiest pair that I own, I just go for a black pair 9 times out of 10. I’ve been searching for the perfect pair of ripped, washed blue jeans for a while now. Although these Topman ones don’t feature any rips, they are the closest I have found to the colour I am after and I’m sure I can achieve the look I’m after with a pair of scissor and some sand paper.

As for shoes, the Common Projects Chelsea Boots have featured on previous wishlists and I’m still pretty much in love with them, but at £315, I’m yet to take the plunge as I know I will probably ruin them on first wear!

I have also included pairs of ‘white’ Converse and Vans as they’re summer staples. Although described as white, they’re more of a vintage off white colour and will look great whether dressed up or down.

Last but not least I really want some slim fitting, cropped navy chinos for smarter occasions, they’re not pictured above but I already have this pair in black and they fit great!

Supreme X Black Sabbath

Supreme’s collaboration with Black Sabbath might have come as a bit unexpected for some but with Morrissey fronting the SS16 campaign, it’s no surprise that Supreme have once again teamed up with another rock legend for the latest release of limited edition apparel and goods.

Featuring band slogans and imagery of past albums across outerwear, sweaters and a selection of t-shirts, the collection continues in streetwears recent obsession with the rock world.

The release is expected in stores and online March 31st with top pieces including the Denim Trucker Jacket, Hooded Parker and Hooded Sweatshirt, with the Parker at the top of my Wishlist.

Wishlist 007 | SS16 – Saint Laurent, Vans OG, Adidas NMD & Supreme

Screen Shot 2016-03-08 at 19.10.08.png

Vans OG Era LX Checkerboard | Adidas NMD Footlocker Exclusive £130 (Image source: Kickposters) | Saint Laurent Teddy Jacket £1565 | Supreme Morrissey Tee | Supreme Nylon Packable Poncho

Now Winter is ‘officially’ over we can start preparing for Spring/Summer and embrace a bit of colour in our wardrobes. Whilst this latest wishlist may be a bit unrealistic due to lack of availability, that doesn’t stop it acting as a source of inspiration!

First up, Supreme. I managed to pick up a few items at the latest SS16 drop but missed out on both the Poncho and Morrissey Tee, the two items I wanted the most. The Poncho is perfect for festival season and to keep in your bag as an emergency against the British weather!

Whilst I may have been unlucky with Supreme, the latest NMD runner from Adidas is yet to drop. Much like the original colour way, the Footlocker exclusive features a black upper with red accents. The blue accents on the original have now been replaced with black to produce a classic silhouette. It’s safe to say I’ll try and get these come March 17th.

Next on my list is the Teddy Jacket from Saint Laurent, which i’m completely obsessed with. Whether I’d actually wear this is another story, but I’m drawn to it. Currently available to pre-order at Saint Laurent at £1565, It’s not something I will ever realistically own, but I’m sure there’s a high street version out there somewhere.

Last but not least are the checkerboard Vans. I used to wear these back in the day, so to see them becoming a ‘must-have’ again is something I can get behind.
